Dr. Peretti of ‘Vigilance Halal’ explains (in French) that the stress of animals slaughtered in full conscience is conducive of retaining blood far more than being outblooded after stunning. Besides, current mass unstunned slaughtering practices convey far more bacterial infections because of the blood and phlem spreading by the spastic movements of the animal in conscient agony.
